TechPolicy.ca is a website that aims to understand the interplay between data mining and public policy. A great deal of public policy, government work, and politics focuses on the use of data mining, machine learning, statistics, and other research methods. Understanding how such tools are used, and how they affect people's lives is important. At the same time, the use of such tools can help citizens, corporations, and politicians understand how public policy forms and evolves, how people discuss policy, and -- potentially -- where policy is going.
